Come join ASSET4, a world leader in financial services, headquartered in
Switzerland

ASSET4 is the world's leading provider of comprehensive financial and
extra-financial information, which is essential to understanding and
managing the long-term performance and risk profile of today's
corporations.

Our web platform plays an essential role in allowing us to deliver
state-of-the-art information services to our clients, and we are now
looking for two experienced database architects to join our Technology
department in Zug, Switzerland.

Two Senior Database Architects

You will design the next generation of the ASSET4 database underlining
the web and applications platform, and as part of the core development
team you will develop core data models and access layers as the
foundation for all of our applications and information services. You
will closely interact with financial analysts specialising in the area
of ESG (environmental, social, governance) information, software
architects and application developers. Your responsibilities will
include analysing high-level requirements and technical specifications
and transforming them into data models. You will ensure that the data
models are consistent, correct and designed for performance and
flexibility. You will also perform database administrator activities,
such as data analysis, importing/exporting, reporting, security and
performance tuning with the system administrator. You will also help
test and improve the system.

Your Profile

* At least 5-7 years experience in data modelling and database
administration.

* Excellent inside-out knowledge of PostgreSQL (or other
opensource SQL databases) including administration, performance tuning,
programming interfaces (JDBC, ODBC, Hybernate, Npgsql, etc.) and stored
procedures (PL/pgSQL, PL/Java, etc.)

* Experience in open source environments (Linux) and database
tools (replication, clustering, ETL, business intelligence, reporting,
etc.)

* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies is a
plus.

* Fluent in English - written as well as verbal (company language
is English).

* Very experienced in documenting requirements and technical
specifications. Excellent communication skills to technical audiences.

* Proactive, motivated, and experienced working with distributed
development teams.

* Experience with other DBMS such Oracle, SQLServer or DB2 are a
plus

We look forward to hearing from individuals with aspirations in this
field who have worked for international companies before, preferably in
a fast-paced start-up environment. It is important that candidates are
flexible and have a proven ability to pick up on new areas quickly.

If you are ready to join a young and dynamic team, please send your
application as soon as possible to: ASSET4, Attn.: Sonja Weber,
