Problem during postgresql-8.0.msi installation

Hi, i'm new of this mailing list (sorry for my english).
We are experiencing a problem during installation of postgresql-8.0.msi
on a Windows 2003 Enterprise machine.
When we launch the msi installation, after we choose the language and confirm
for continuing with setup,
the application hangs waiting and we cannot kill in any way such process
and you cannot perform the shutdown of the machine.
We installed the same software on another machine of the same type and with
the same Operating Sustem without any problem.
Some suggestions ?
