and the idea of ODBC - just to get main ideas.
Then, there are free sources available:
* SAP-DB drivers (rock solid drivers and working unter Windows, Linux
and Solaris ... up to 7.4.x), drivers
from 7.5 are not free any more ....
* Firebird (very actice ODBC develpment ...)
