I believe this is caused because backslash is the default escape
character for LIKE, so you need:
	test=> SELECT E'\\' LIKE E'\\\\';
	(1 row)
or change the escape character:
	test=> SELECT E'\\' LIKE E'\\' escape 'a';
	(1 row)
