UC Berkeley's database group is pleased to host a series of invited
lectures this fall entitled New Directions in Database Research.
This semester's series showcases leading junior faculty members in
the database field presenting work on a wide variety of topics.
Confirmed speakers to date include:

o Anhai Doan, Wisconsin

o Sam Madden, MIT
o Neoklis Polyzotis, UC Santa Cruz
o Jun Yang, Duke

The seminar is open to the public, on Fridays at 1PM, in Soda 380
Hall at UC Berkeley. UC Students are encouraged to enroll for credit
as CS298-12. Details are on the seminar website (http://

to sign up for the seminar mailing list.
