What's the typo? "Ye same olde"? That appears to be an attempt
at humor using Middle English. Here's a brief article about how
the "y" in "ye" is a misspelling of the "thorn" (þ) character:

The Icelandic language still uses the thorn character, if I'm not
mistaken.
