The following bug has been logged online:

Bug reference: 1353
Logged by: Robert Dyas
Email address: rdyas(at)adelphia(dot)net
PostgreSQL version: 8.0
Operating system: Windows 2000, all patches installed
Description: pg_dump from Linux won't load with pg_restore on Windows
Details:

A standard (non-compressed, non-tar) pg_dump of a Postgresql 7.4 database on
a linux system could not be loaded with pg_restore on Postgresql 8.0-rc1
running on Windows 2000.

However, if you did the Linux pg_dump with a --format=t option, then it
WOULD load with pg_restore on Windows.
