Just a quick update this week as bug smashing continued on the beta2 package
for PostgreSQL 8.0. Those curious about what items remain open can view the
most recent list at, but for now
lets run through this week's fixes.

Some small issues in trigger list management were fixed. Several
discrepancies between native win32 and cygwin based builds were worked out.
Some filter tests were cleaned of unneeded entries. A problem with handling
errors inside trigger functions was addressed by making non-deferred AFTER
triggers fire immediately upon query completion (ie. while still within the
trigger function). Some bugs in restoring non-superuser owned databases were
also fixed.

Several fixes were submitted for dbmirror including bug fixes for handling
setval calls, new upgrade instructions, and some fixes for the clean_pending
script. Several changes were made to psql to improve consitency; \df now
shows schema and name first, \di+ shows description last, and \dl SQL now
looks a bit more standard.

One last item worth mentioning; the Sydney PostgreSQL Users Group will hold
their inaugural meeting next week. If you are in the Sydney (Australia!)
area, or feel like a road trip, you are encouraged to attend. More details
are available at
