Well we are now into the final stretch before feature freeze. Most of
the developers have been working on finishing touches for previous patches,
or review and application of patches in the patch-queue. It is still a little
too early to know for certain what features will make it in to 7.5, but by
this time next week that list should be solidified.

Probably the largest patch this week was rounding out of object
ownership changing capabilities. You can now change owners on aggregates,
conversions, functions, operators, operator classes, schemas, types, and
tablespaces. Other changes this week included a --pwfile option being added
to initdb to allow GUI tools who can use /dev/tty to set passwords, a
pg_get_serial_sequence() function is now available, and tablespaces can now
be renamed. Two changes to pg_ctl include the ability to handle service
management for win32 and the ability to translate the program (with a first
run done in Swedish).
