I am getting the following error when trying to install PostreSQL 7.4.3 on
Solaris 8.

.
.
.
creating directory
/export/home/pospgres/postgresql-7.4.3/src/test/regress/./tm
_check/data/pg_clog... ok
selecting default max_connections... 100
selecting default shared_buffers... 1000
creating configuration files... ok
creating template1 database in
/export/home/pospgres/postgresql-7.4.3/src/test/
egress/./tmp_check/data/base/1... ok
initializing pg_shadow... ok
enabling unlimited row size for system tables... ok
initializing pg_depend... ok
creating system views... ok
loading pg_description... ok
creating conversions... Segmentation Fault - core dumped

initdb: failed
initdb: data directory
"/export/home/pospgres/postgresql-7.4.3/src/test/regress
.
.

I don't have a lot of time to spend on this so if someone could have any
insight to this problem I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks
Bella
