Hi

I'm trying to get a pg database running on a webserver with php3!

Whenever the hit rate starts to rise people start seeing the following error:

Unable to connect to PostgresSQL server: FATAL 1: Backend cache invalidation
initialization failed

What does this mean ?

At the same time the log has entries like this :

/usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster: BackendStartup: pid 4853 user nobody db sac
socket 5
NOTICE: SIAssignBackendId: discarding tag 2147483527
FATAL 1: Backend cache invalidation initialization failed
/usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster: reaping dead processes...
/usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster: CleanupProc: pid 4853 exited with status 0
/usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster: BackendStartup: pid 4888 user nobody db sac
socket 5
NOTICE: SIAssignBackendId: discarding tag 2147483527
FATAL 1: Backend cache invalidation initialization failed
/usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster: reaping dead processes...
/usr/lib/postgresql/bin/postmaster: CleanupProc: pid 4888 exited with status 0

Thanks for your help

Mario Filipe
