Full Time

OdysseyWare, an operating division of Glynlyon is looking for a Senior
Database Administrator to join our network operations team in
Chandler, Arizona. This position will fill a key role in the support
of online educational services as part of a world-class IT
organization pushing the envelope of both proprietary and open-source
technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Support Postgres infrastructure in a high-availability environment
• Design, benchmark , and maintain production Postgres databases
• Collaborate with multiple development teams in the design and
implementation of database services
• Setup and manage replication of Postgres databases
• Review and tune schema design and queries from software developers

Requirements:
• Should have 4 years working on production Postgres systems as DBA
• Must have 6 years working on production, customer-facing systems
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
• Fluency with Unix/Linux operating systems
• Working experience in replication, backup and recovery processes (PITR)
• Excellent problem solving, collaboration and communication skills
• After-hours support during key deployments and urgent production issues

Pluses:
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL or other RDMS
• Familiarity with shell scripting and Linux system administration
• Large-scale database deployment and management
• Experience with Postgres monitoring tools
• Open source development and/or integration experience
