Sun sells and supports the data warehouse appliance (we call it Thumper DW)
at prices between $15K and $20K per Terabyte. Off-the-shelf single rack
configurations include 10,40 and 100TB of net usable database storage with
scan rates up to 1 Terabyte per minute.

Thumper DW scales to 1,200 Terabytes (1.2 Petabytes) in twelve racks with a
scan rate of 12 Terabytes per minute.
