You might recall that I reported that this failed in
6.5.3 on RH 5.2. Tom Lane indicated that it rang a bell, possibly
being due to an endian error and asked if Jan remembered.
I don't recall Jan answering (though I might've missed an
answer).

Whatever.

I've tried this with the current sources and it works fine.
