We could really use a couple more Mentors for Google Summer of Code Projects.
Particularly, we've had some good proposals in these areas:

ECPG Cleanup
XML Support
Application development (mod_pyton)
Aggregation Improvements (multi-column, or non-sorting, or hash-based)
