hi,

i have successfully logged into psql (template1) on a
remote fedora core 3 / pgsql 8.0.3 install from my
winxp laptop via vpn and accuterm. i want to dump a
7.4.5 database located on the same laptop using the
8.0.3 version of psql.

can this be done? if so, how can i do this?

i want to follow the advice i've seen on this mailing
list to always use the latest and greatest psql to do
the dumping and restoring.

tia...
