There has been a lively discussion on supporting locales with
collation.  It appears that PostgreSQL may get a large new capability
on this front for 8.2.

SCALE 4x, the Southern California Linux Expo is calling for papers.

Mark Wong of OSDL has started work on dbt-4, a fair use implementation
of TPC-App.  TPC-App is a b2b web services workload, and Mark would
like some more help from Java developers.
