I can only agree. Any strategy should be very ***simple***.

In the case of pgAdmin III, there are PostgreSQL mirror systems and about 40
(never counted them) shareware downloading sites (visible from
http://www.pgadmin.org/pgadmin3/advocacy.php#list). Which makes too many
distribution channels to size the number of downloads.

IMHO, a simple web page offering Win32 PostgreSQL installer in 40 languages
should reach one million downloads every month quickly.
