I disagree. With respect to EnterpriseDB and all other commercial
contributors. "We" the community have provided them far more than they
have ever provided us. EnterpriseDB as it exists today wouldn't in fact
exist at all if it weren't for the many millions of dollars worth of
code they received (and continue to receive) with "zero" investment.
The same goes for Command Prompt.

Yes EnterpriseDB provides a great deal of support to the community but
do not be fooled. They do so purely at the behest of a potential
commercial gain. (Note: I am talking about the corporation itself not
the community contributors therein)

I do believe it is in the communities interest to have a good
relationship with commercial supporters. However the idea that we need a
QUID PRO QUO system I believe is flawed. I would argue that
PostgreSQL.Org has become entirely too public with its commercial ties
and in affect has lost a lot of its community feel.
