Hello,

I was trying to follow the document in
www.postgresql.org/docs/faqs/text/FAQ_MSWIN to install postgresql in
the windows environment. I was successfully able to install Cygwin.
But when I try to type in ipc-deamon2 in the Cygwin shell, it says
that ipc-daemon2 command not found. I tried to ignore this message and
went ahead and typed in the initdb command with all the parameters
specified in the document. The initdb command also fails when it
tries to create template1 database in /usr/local/pgsql/data/base/1
with Signal 12 and hence removes the usr/local/pgsql/dta directory.

I would appreciate if you could let me know how to overcome this
problem, at the earliest.

Thanks,
