I wanted to make a donation to express my gratitude for the software in general and the expeditious help on a particular issue I got from the Hackers.

I went to www.postgresql.org and could not find any seeming links, so I clicked Get a CD from the Software page. It is a dead link.

The requested URL /cd-dist.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

So I Googled a bit (postgresql contribute credit card) and found http://www.q-ag.de/~wspraul/fsdd/. It pointed me here http://www.pgsql.com/pg_goodies/ where I chose the first option, Contribute to the PostgreSQL project. I selected USA and entered an amount in the amount field. I clicked Process Order, and got an error message saying I needed to enter at least one quantity or service, and my amount was cleared. I re-entered it, and it was accepted. This is re-producible. The script looks like it should work, but it doesn't until you submit twice and re-enter your contribution. Then I was sent to a secure web site, I accepted the certificate, but the page didn't load. After 4 tries, it finally did.

My one and only point in all this is that it is too hard. A link called Contribute should be on the first page of the Users Lounge, or even the main page. It should have options to either contribute work or money. The money contribution form should be only one item. The Stuff link ought to be separate IMHO.
