SydPUG meeting, Tuesday February 5th

Hello everybody,

The Sydney PostgreSQL Users Group will meet on Tuesday, February 5th,
at 6:30PM, at Fujitsu Australia in North Sydney.

Shoaib Mir will give a presentation on scheduling PostgreSQL
maintenance and backup jobs using pgAgent. PgAgent is a PostgreSQL
job-scheduling daemon which is tightly integrated with the pgAdmin-III
graphical administration tool.

The talk will cover PostgreSQL maintenance in general, the advantages
of pgAgent over other scheduling mechanisms such as cron, and an
installation and configuration walk-though. Administration via
pgAdmin-III will be covered in detail.

Meet in the foyer of 15 Blue St North Sydney at 6:30pm. The meeting
will be held in the View Room on level 16. Security restrictions
apply, so you will not be able to go straight up to the room. Please
