Though I did revert back to 6.3.2, I ran into a rather bothering
core dump when running psql after installing 6.4.2. I'm on a
glibc2.0.7pre6 linux 2.2.7 box, and postgres was configured in the
plainest configuration, but it crashes right out of the box. I've seen
some messages before on the matter, but nothing conclusive. Have other
people/developers ran into this before? I'm thinking 'glibc problem'.

Thanks,
cr
