Here's my pg_hba.conf (although I'm a little worried about the auth
number).

local all password
host all 127.0.0.1 255.255.255.255 password
host all 192.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 crypt
host all 158.152.22.37 255.255.255.255 crypt

Here all connections that go over a wire use crypt, and those that don't
use the non crypted password authentication.
