PostgreSQL, Inc. Appoints New Board Member from the Global Development
Project

Vadim Mikheev is one of the original four founding members, and an ongoing
contributor of the PostgreSQL Global Development Project. His recent
developments have included Multi Version Concurrent Control [MVCC] and
Replication Server enhancements to provide essential capabilities for
PostgreSQL business users. Vadim has today joined the Board of Directors
of PostgreSQL, Inc., bringing his considerable expertise to the first and
only company founded exclusively to provide commercial and open source
support for PostgreSQL database solutions.

PostgreSQL, Inc. was started in April of 1999 by Mikheev's Global
Development colleague, Marc G. Fournier, Senior Unix Systems Administrator
at Acadia University. Joining Marc, and Thomas Lockhart, the company board
of directors now includes three of the original Project founders, and
continues to sponsor, host and support many of the leading development
projects.

"This announcement is exciting news for both PostgreSQL Inc. and the open
source community," offers company CEO Geoff Davidson, "as it enables us to
work more closely with our business partners on critical enhancements. To
ensure those efforts, Vadim will be continuing in his role as a senior
development contributor for our Bay area partner, enTRUST Solutions, LLC,
working on several initiatives including replication and XA enhancements."

During its first year PostgreSQL, Inc. concentrated on providing 24/7
commercial support services. In the past six months, with the help of our
currrent Advisory Board, the company has moved to delivering service,
support and new product developments. These efforts include the soon to be
released small business CRM, SePICK , and web portal solutions for leaders
in the small business and development arenas, and careful partnering.
