Subject: [pgadmin-support] No authentication

I have a strange problem working with PgAdmin III on Windows XP
version 1.2.0 Post Beta 1 (Sept 17 2004) against PostgreSQL 7.4 on
i686-pc-linux-gnu, compiled by GCC gcc (GCC) 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat
Linux 3.2.2-5). I have 9 servers set up in my list and the very first
one doesn't care what I put in for a password, it connects. I can even
leave password blank. The following 8 servers all authenticate
properly. It is checked to require a password.

It seems this was a consultant error. Unfortunately I approved this post
before I read Kate's follow-up so please ignore!

Regards, Dave.
