Hi, Some more info.
When I do net start postmaster., postmaster service fails to start.
I could see the folloing message in event logs.
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( postmaster ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: postmaster : Win32 Process Id = 0xB64 : Cygwin Process Id = 0xB64 : starting service `postmaster' failed: execv: 1, Operation not permitted.

Hi,
We are using Postgresql 7.3.2. Installed using Cygwin 1.3.19.
Its working fine, but we got the following error recoreded in postmaster log when we installed p[ostgres on win 2000 server.

This could be machine specific issue. But any help to resolve this issue will be helpful to me.

The contents of the postmaster.log file is:
couldn't dynamically determine load address for 'NetApiBufferFree' (handle 0xFFFFFFFF), Win32 error 126
