I get the problem too in Chrome.
Error 601 (net::ERR_FTP_FAILED): Unknown error.
I'm wondering if the particular FTP daemon in use is the culprit.
They're using:
btr0x2 FTP server (Version wu-2.6.2(2) Mon Dec 8 16:09:26 MET 2008)
