European pre-sales position with EnterpriseDB

Westford, Massachussetts.

EnterpriseDB is looking for pre-sales engineers to join their team of
sales professionals. As an SE at EnterpriseDB, you will be
responsible for supporting the sales representatives in their online
and F2F selling efforts. A SE aids the sales representatives in
qualifying and nurturing a prospect and turning that prospect into a
customer. The ideal candidate will be able to provide this assistance
with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work with virtual teams
domestically as well as internationally is a must. You will be called
upon to architect and deliver solution based proof of concepts to our
customers.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years pre-sales experience preferred. Experience with
databases is a must. Preferred databases are Oracle, PostgreSQL and
MySQL. Sybase, MS SQL Server, DB2 or others are a plus. SQL
knowledge and ability to write stored procedures are also necessary.
Experience with Linux, Windows and UNIX. BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment.
Strong team player with a positive attitude. May have project lead
role. Demonstrated proficiency in at least one multi-user operating
system. Ability to deliver technical and business level presentations,
solutions demonstrations, strong verbal and written communication
skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing
techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as
required.
