con esto

/etc/init.d/pgagent start -l 2 hostaddr=127.0.0.1 dbname=postgres
user=postgres

me lanza el error

*Starting PgAgent: daemon: fatal: failed to tell if pgagent
hostaddr=127.0.0.1 dbname=postgres user=postgres is safe: No existe el
fichero ó directorio*
