Extra Info: Michael has tested a small app for me on his system that
connects to PostgreSQL and attempts to execute SELECT version() (as pgAdmin
does) using ADO. The SELECT failed giving an error:

Error 430 - Class does not support Automation or does not support expected
interface.

This now appears to almost certainly be a problem with MDAC/Windows (which
are not unheard of ;-))
Some questions to you both:

- Have you run earlier versions of pgAdmin?
- What versions of DCOM and MDAC have you installed (2.1.1.3711.11 is the
current version)?
- What language & version of Windows are you running?
- What version of Internet Explorer is installed?
- Do you have (and what version) MS Office installed?

Regards,

Dave.
