Hi,

I check after
# rpm -qa | grep postgres
it shows all postgres version name that means it
installed
but
when i run

/etc/init.d/postgresql status
it shows
postmaster is stopped

then to start it i wrote

[root(at)flex /]# /etc/init.d/postgresql start
Checking postgresql installation: no database files
found.
initdb: invalid option: --pglib=/usr/lib/pgsql
Try 'initdb --help' for more information.
Starting postgresql service: failed.

how to fix it?

mushfiq
