Error cluster pgpool II 2.4

Hola estamos trabajando sobre un servidor de postgresql 8.1 que está en
cluster con pgpool II en la versión 2.4. Recientemente nos dimos cuenta
de que cuando realizamos un insert con un select para uno de los campos,
el nodo 2 se cae.

-¿Hay alguna manera de solucionar ese problema?
