as i don't have your script/changes available, i'll venture a guess --

last i saw this was a few version of libtool ago ... don't remember
specifically which.

what version of libtool are you running?

again, mine is:

% glibtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.22 (1.1220.2.365 2005/12/18 22:14:06)
