OS: Win2k (SP 2)
Locale: German
Database version: 8.0.2
Database encoding: UNICODE

Client envorinment:
Same host
Used via ODBC driver (with standard ODBC-driver settings in Win2k ODBC's
management, i did not found any documentation about)
First command after connection: SET client_encoding TO 'UNICODE'
