Well I have never even heard of it. 3ware is the defacto authority of
reasonable SATA RAID. If you were to
go with a different brand I would go with LSI. The LSI 150-6 is a nice
card with a battery backup option as well.

Oh and 3ware has BBU for certain models as well.
