Some time ago I uninstalled postgreSQL from my Ubuntu linux box with
apt-get --purge remove postgresql.
Operation was successfull. After while, I would like to reinstall
postgresql server on my machine and this is what happens
when I do apt-get install postgreSQL.
Before I copy the install log, some insformations about version of
postgreSQL.
Server version is postgresql (7.4.5-3ubuntu0.1) with kernel 2.6.8.1-4-386

Success. The database server should be started automatically.
If not, you can start the database server using:

  /etc/init.d/postgresql start
