was sent to you, attached to a previous mail, few weeks ago.
I'll appreciate so much your opinion, because we are using the
PostgreSQL for an important project at the University, and the
incorporation of this piece of code is contributing with some tests we
are carrying out. If you think this implementation is not correct or it
has some drawback, your suggestions will be welcome. I'll modify
everything you think is needed.
In addition, I'm developing this software in the context of my
undergraduate thesis. The inclusion of these features and their testing
is the objective of this thesis, then all your help is invaluable for
Perhaps you do not need the features I implemented in my research
project (activate/deactivate) but it is a central point for us.
Besides, if the adding of this characteristic does not produce any side
effect, I think it would be added, so it would be useful for other
users. Some other DBMSs have these mechanisms.
I'll wait for your comments. Take into account that if it is needed,
I'll re-write all parts of the code you recommend me.
