[pgsql-ayuda] Instalando de ftp.postgresql.org/pub/bindist/6.4.2/

Buenas tardes.

He seguido los pasos del
ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/bindist/6.4.2/README.Solaris pero al
realizar el usuario pgsql este comando:

initdb --pglib=/usr/local/pgsql/lib --pgdata=/usr/local/pgsql/data

La salida es esta:

ld.so.1: pg_id: fatal: libncurses.so.4: open failed: No such file or
directory
Unable to determine a valid username. If you are running
initdb without an explicit username specified, then there
may be a problem with finding the Postgres shared library
and/or the pg_id utility.

He mirado en la docuementación de la instalación que hay en
http://www.at.postgresql.org/ y dice algo asi:

15.If necessary, tell your system how to find the new shared libraries.
You can do one of the following,
preferably the first:

a.As root, edit file /etc/ld.so.conf. Add a line

/usr/local/pgsql/lib

to the file. Then run command /sbin/ldconfig.

b.In a bash shell, type

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/pgsql/lib

c.In a csh shell, type

setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /usr/local/pgsql/lib

Please note that the above commands may vary wildly for different
operating systems. Check the platform specific notes, such as those for
Ultrix4.x or and for non-ELF Linux.
If, when you create the database, you get the message pg_id: can't
load library 'libpq.so' then the above step was necessary. Simply do
this step, then try to create the database again.

En todo mi disco duro, no existe el archivo ld.so.conf ni el ejecutable
ldconfig.

No se por donde seguir, ¿alguna idea?
