You have a v6.3.2 installation from the RH5.x distribution. Do a
rpm -q -a | grep postg
rpm -e <packages from previous command>
on all of the packages before doing your from-source installation. The
mhonarc mailing list archives would cover this topic, as does
(probably) one of the FAQs...
