Hi Selena,

Quite some time ago, at LUG Radio USA, I complained about the
how-to-pronounce "PostgreSQL" faq entry[1] links to an mp3 file, and
proprietary formats are fail. And you were, like, "Hey, you're right,
send me an Ogg version." And I was like, "I will!" But it was noisy
and I didn't have headphone to check the conversion, so I didn't do it
right then...and here were are two years later.

I was reminded of all this when I saw you were presenting here at LCA,
and thought, wow, I suck. So, please find attached an ogg version of
postgresql.mp3, should your offer to update the faq still be open. The
advantage of waiting two years is that now people can play ogg files
straight in their browsers. So you can say:

 <audio controls>
  <source src="postgresql.ogg">
  <source src="postgresql.mp3">
  (<a href="postgresql.ogg" class="external text" alt="pronunciation">
   audio file</a>)
 </audio>

And people can just click the play button. Leave out the mp3 line if
you want to be ideologically pure and let down Safari users. Ogg works
natively in Firefox and Chrome.

Hope you're enjoying LCA,
 -r
