Story:
Slony 1, the successor to the eRServer replication project used for hosting the .org and .info domain names has entered it\'s second beta testing phase.
Slony 1 has been masterminded by Jan Wieck, a member of the PostgreSQL Core Team and designer of the original PostgreSQL RServ replication system.
Slony 1 is a working, advanced Master to Multi-Slave replication system that is BSD licenced, written in C, and works with PostgreSQL 7.3 and 7.4.
Due for production release near the end of this month, Slony 1 has just entered it\'s second beta phase and is very well worth checking out by those with an interest in PostgreSQL replication.
