Josh Berkus (josh(at)agliodbs(dot)com) reports a bug with a severity of 1
The lower the number the more severe it is.

Short Description
PG_DUMP Files do not restore on PostgreSQL 7.2.1

Long Description
This bug was originally reported by Phillip Jourdan on the NOVICE list.

It seems that PostgreSQL 7.2.1 is no longer recognizing \N as NULL for COPY commands. As a result, pg_dump files created with earlier versions of PostgreSQL will not restore to PostgreSQL 7.2.1 using the psql database < file.pg_dump method. This has left several upgraders unable to restore their databases after an upgrade.
