New Services: Scalability and Managed Hosting

2ndQuadrant announces two new services for new and existing customers:
* Database Scalability Fast Track
* Managed PostgreSQL Hosting

The Database Scalability Fast Track programme helps you to build
massively scalable solutions using PostgreSQL, PL/Proxy, Skytools and
partitioning. The programme is aimed at those users, who are either
hitting a wall with traditional scalability solutions like replication
and read-load balancing or who want to plan for future scalability with
systems that extend beyond 100 GB or require extensive CPU power.

Fast Track is a 5-day on-site service, led by either Hannu Krosing,
ex-Database Architect at Skype, and/or by Simon Riggs, PostgreSQL Major
Developer. We start with an initial workshop on PL/Proxy, Skytools and
PostgreSQL Scalability. We then move quickly towards a prototype,
demonstrating the feasibility of scaling your PostgreSQL applications
with open source technologies.

Complementing this, 2ndQuadrant is now offering Managed Hosting. Xcon
has now merged with 2ndQuadrant Italia, bringing with it a wealth of
experience in running hosting solutions ranging from small company
solutions up to large/global solutions. Xcon's Simone Martelli joins the
2ndQuadrant team also, bringing with him a long track record of running
successful professional Internet services stretching back to 1996.
