The table is 4.4GB per pg_relation_size. The pahmm_redundant_feature
index is around 2.7GB. df -h /srv says 500G 326G 175G 66%. The
box has 32GB of RAM.

The table probably has some deletes in it in case that's relevant, but
I'd guess no more than 25% of the rows were deleted once and it may be
0%. (I can't remember whether I did a bulk delete before or after the
dump/restore for 8.1 migration.)

P.S. I went from 7.4.5 to 8.1.2 (IIRC) and skipped 8.0.x, so I don't
know what the 8.0.x series would have done.
