I've just been contacted by ZDnet again for a few more details relating
to a story they are about to run (today!...) about PostgreSQL reference
sites. They have quotes from a number of them.... one of which is, I
believe, the Oxford University Computing Centre.

I have been asked about why there is no single preferred Replication
Solution etc...; I said it was the nature of the development community
that many ideas are allowed out at once.

Many people ask this, so let's chew it out now ahead of the 8.0
release... I've got better things to do too, but I keep getting asked,
so I want to have a full steer... we probably need a press FAQ for the
release: this is No.1

"So which one would you choose?" My personal answer was that IMHO Slony
seems to have the most community support and is the one I would choose
to use.

Flame on...
