PostgreSQL Developer - Design And Build The DB For A New Client Portal

This is a great opportunity to design and build a large PostgreSQL database
from scratch as part of portal solution. The client is an Internet software
company based in Pyrmont with a strong background.

This role would suit a Software Engineer/Developer who is innovative, bright
and is a creative thinker. You will need the following skills, any others
are a bonus:

* Software Development/Engineering background based on the Unix/Linux
platform.
* PostgreSQL database experience, design and development in a
commercial environment
* Experience with Oracle (especially large Oracle systems) would be an
advantage but not essential
* Good Data modelling, and database design skills logical and physical

* Sense of humour

The client develops a range of applications for business clients across both
Client Server and the Internet. They have historically employed open source
technology for many years. As such, if you have talents other than
PostgreSQL and you enjoy solving challenging technology and business
problems, then this could be a great opportunity.

The client is offering the role on either a contract or permanent basis and
is keen hire now. Excellent work environment overlooking the water at
Pyrmont, small team environment, very experienced developers.
