We have run the SCO versions of Oracle 7.x, 8.x and 8i using the IBCS on
x86 RedHat 5.x and 6.x. No problems at all. (Oracle wanted a ton of cash
just because we switched OS - no discount or allowance at all to simply move
the license to linux). Although we have retired Oracle, IBCS was rock solid
and I would be surprised if it didn't run as well under newer kernel versions.
(We now use Postgres instead of Oracle -thank heavens, but the decision had
nothing to do with the binary execution under IBCS)
