problem in postgres

hello sir/mam
i have RHEL3_AS_64bit os
i have installed everything at package installation
now when i try to start psql it start's and work fine
but the only problem is that when grid wants to communicate with psql it won't
and gives following error when trying to start the dbwriter

[root(at)node2 root]# /etc/init.d/sgedbwriter start
starting dbWriter
dbwriter failed!
Please check log file /opt/sge/systemone/spool/dbwriter/dbwriter.log

and in dbwriter.log file it says
