Hi !

My name is Sorin Mocanu and I am the database manager for Sealite Systems.

I am running Postgresql 6.5.2 on a Redhat Linux OS. We've been using it for about an year and we had some crashes due to low disk space. The last crash was fatal and now PostgreSQL does not see any record and any table from any database anymore. The funny thing is that in the base directory there are directories with the names of our databases and inside - files with the names of the tables (between other pg_* files).

I have started to build a script that will recover the data inside, knowing the structure, and it seems to be working for some records. However, I would need to know what to do to be able to fully recover my lost data that postgres does not see. I am planning to install a newer version, but in the same time I need to dump the data from the actual db.

Could you please help me with a link to an appropriate Postgres utility or a table file format documentation ?

Thank you,
Sorin Mocanu
